Range Rules – Madisonville Gun Company & Rood Range

• 1. All personnel on the range must be signed in at the office.
• 2. Waivers must be on file in the office before using any range.
• 3. Treat all firearms as if they are loaded at all times.
• 4. Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
• 5. Always point firearms in a safe direction.
• 6. Eye and ear protection is required at all times on the firing line.
• 7. Follow all commands from range officers or staff immediately.
• 8. Shoot only at approved targets. Do not shoot wildlife, trash, or unapproved items.
• 9. No handling of firearms behind the firing line.
• 10. Only load firearms at the firing line when ready to shoot.
• 11. No rapid fire without staff approval. Maintain control of your firearm at all times.
• 12. Absolutely no alcohol, drugs, or persons under the influence on the range.
• 13. Clean up after yourself. Dispose of trash and spent casings properly.
• 14. You may collect your own brass, but do not collect brass from others unless given permission.
• 15. All children under 18 must be directly supervised by an adult at all times.
• 16. No one is allowed beyond the firing line on any range.
• 17. ATVs and vehicles must stay in designated areas.
• 18. Steel targets must be engaged only at approved distances. No armor-piercing or steel-core rounds on steel targets.
• 19. Respect others. Unsafe or disrespectful behavior will result in immediate removal from the premises.
• 20. No explosives anywhere on the range. This includes launchers, Tannerite, HE rounds, tracer rounds, dragon’s breath, or similar items. Shooters must check all ammunition prior to using the range facilities.
